The TD 200® Automated TEE Probe Disinfector achieves high-level disinfection of a soiled TEE probe in 3 minutes. CS Medical's newest high-level disinfectant TD-12® is used in conjunction with the TD 200 to attain this 3 minute high-level disinfection claim. TD-12 is a single-use granulated biocide that is converted to a liquid solution before the high-level disinfection process.
A sealed TD-12 container is placed into the TD 200 disinfection reservoir, at which time it is pierced, and the granulated biocide is released. The TD 200 automatically adds cold water and heat to the biocide while mixing the components to prepare for high-level disinfection. The step by step process, from start to end of run validation, is displayed on the LCD screen and walks the end user through each action. At the conclusion, a verification report is printed, recording information of the disinfection cycle.
The TD 200 Automated TEE Probe Disinfector also provides constant operator protection from fumes and vapors generated during the mixing and high-level disinfection process. Airflow is constantly pulled across the disinfectant reservoir, where fumes and vapors can accumulate, and directed through a bonded carbon filter before returning filtered air back into the room.
