CS Medical was founded in 2003 with the singular purpose of minimizing the potential of patient exposure to improperly reprocessed transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) ultrasound probes. Since then, we have been working on ways of furthering our commitment to that purpose and are pleased to announce the release of our newest and most innovative product to date: the TEEClean Automated TEE Probe Cleaner Disinfector.
After years of development, TEEClean will provide healthcare facilities with confidence when reprocessing soiled TEE probes. By employing the TEEClean, facilities will be able to eliminate the need for soak basins and sinks when cleaning probes. The new TEEClean will automate this process and seamlessly integrate it into the high-level disinfection process. This marks a breakthrough in the industry, as one of the leading points of failure in reprocessing reusable devices is during the cleaning step. By performing the same exact FDA validated cycle each and every time a TEE probe is processed, healthcare professionals can rest assured that their probes are consistently reprocessed to the same high standard every time.
TEEClean's state of the art technology will help healthcare facilities save time and money while providing consistent results. Within an hour of bedside cleaning, users will simply insert a soiled TEE probe into the TEEClean's reservoir and follow the prompts displayed on the large, 7-inch color LCD touchscreen. Once all the necessary information has been input, the user may walk away and let the TEEClean do the hard work of cleaning, rinsing, high-level disinfecting, and rinsing the TEE probe in under thirty minutes. At the end of this process, the probe will simply need to be dried and stored, ready for use on the next patient.
For healthcare facilities and professionals, TEEClean removes the unknowns that exist with manual enzymatic cleaning and provides confidence that each TEE probe is being processed with the same level of care during cleaning and disinfection. This automated process helps facilities mitigate the risks associated with human error, helping to prevent the spread of healthcare associated infections. Most importantly, TEEClean allows healthcare professionals more time to be able to get back to what matters most: caring for patients.
